The Gardenia peony is a peony rose with a wonderful fragrance. It is not only loved for its scent, but also because it is double-flowered. This means that it has multiple layers of petals in its bud. When the bud opens, you will be amazed by all the rose petals that emerge. A dense bud can be approx. 3-5 cm, but once opened, the bud can grow up to 17 cm! A huge difference, you will really make someone happy with this. As a gift, but of course also for yourself!
The peonies are sent fresh from the grower. It is therefore quite possible that the peony roses are still a little closed when they arrive. Treat the peonies as indicated in the care instructions, and the roses will open naturally, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of the peony!
If the peonies come from abroad outside the Dutch season, our growers will send them dry to prevent damage. However, the peonies should be placed in fresh water as soon as possible. Fill a vase at least halfway with clean water and add 1 sachet of cut flower food. Cut approx. 3 cm off the stem at an angle and place them in the vase as soon as possible. After a full day, the leaves will feel firmer and the peony will open!
